Study and production of Bacillus thuringiensis bioinsecticides useful in the Biological Control of the phytopathogenic insects and human disease vectors
Summary
The major aim of this project is to generate new knowledge on bioinsecticides and expand in north africa their area of application for improvement of plant production and food quality, environment protection and humain health status. A multidisciplinary regional approach based on resources assessments, molecular biology and biochemistry, and field scale evaluation will be initiated to the benefit of Biological agriculture and would release new valuable bioinsecticides and favorise establishment of new companies. Moreover Biotechnological approaches as, fermentation, formulation and genetic transformation will be used to develop new processes microbial strains with high impact and production of more active biomolecules.
