Monday 24 November 2008 :

8h-8h30: Welcome session and Overview on NEPAD/NABNet project on Type II diabetes in North Africa .

8h30-9h30: 10 minutes presentation of each participating country ( Algeria , Egypt , Mauritania , Morocco , Tunisia , Lybia).

9h30-10h: Coffee break.

10h-13h: Nucleic Acids purification and genotyping tools, Christophe FABLET (PROMEGA user support) (Theoretical training).
13h-14h30: Lunch.

14h30-18h: Nucleic Acids purification and genotyping method 1 Christophe FABLET (PROMEGA user support) (Practical training).

18h-18h30: General discussion with the students on current status on bio-banking in their institutions. Evaluation of the first day of training.

Tuesday 25 November:

8h30-13h: Genotyping method 2 Christophe FABLET (PROMEGA user support) (Practical training).

13h-14h30: Lunch.

14h30-16h: SNP typing by Q-RT-PCR (Quantitative, real time PCR: Allelic discrimination) by Marjorie JOINER (Applied Biosystems, user support). (Theoretical training).

16h-18h: SNP typing by Q-RT-PCR by Marjorie JOINER (Applied Biosystems, user support). (Practical training: Launch of first run)

18h-18h30: General discussion and evaluation of second day of training.

 Wednesday 26 November 2008 :

8h30-13h: First run analysis, launch of second run by Marjorie JOINER (Applied Biosystems user support). (Practical training).

13h-14h30: Lunch.

14h30-17h: Analysis of second run and general discussion of third day of training.

17h-18h30: Internet resources and Bioinformatic tools for SNP-typing. Sonia ABDELHAK and Ibtissem CHOUCHANE. Evaluation of 3 rd day training

Thursday 27 November 2008 :

8h-11h: General discussion and evaluation of the workshop. General discussion on next steps in the NEPAD-T2D.
