The Monitoring and Evaluation office was established in June, 2004, according to the Decree no. 201 released by the President of the National Research Centre.
The office was adopted as part of the framework of ongoing reforming activities implemented at the NRC and defined as the performance assessment indicator for all activities and achievements occurring at the NRC.
The MEO is headed by a Supervisor and several members comprising both research and administrative staff.

Mission

The main mission of the office includes monitoring through periodic supervision at all levels via a data collection system involving research sectors as well as technical and administrative sectors. The subsequent evaluation is based on interpretation and analysis of available data to determine the relevance of the different NRC activities, to allow for optimal use of resources and to provide the foundation for future planning and decision making.
Objectives
  • Setting up database for all research sectors (departments and divisions) as well as all technical and administrative sectors pertaining to the NRC. The database includes all aspects of performance related to individual sectors whether research or administrative. Periodical updating of database occurs every six months.
