Head of Environmental Research Division (since 17 July 2016), and the ex-Head of Environmental & Occupational Medicine Department (June 2011 – July 2016).
She is authorized as an Expert Reviewer for the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) since 2010, an Expert Consultant in the Central Administration for Climate Change, EEAA (Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency), Ministry of Environment, Egypt (since 2005), the responsible for preparation of the Vulnerability and Adaptation for Health Sector in the Second and Third National Communication for Climate Change for Egypt (2005-2010 and 2010-2016 respectively), and member in the Climate Change Office, National Research Centre (2016).
She is member in the National Committee for Toxicology, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Egypt (since 2013). She was member in Esteemed Committee for preparation of Environmental Health Strategy, Ministry of Health & Population (Sep 2015- March 2016), and member in the Technical Committee for modification of the Noise standards in Environmental Role No. 9 for the year 2009, Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs, Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency, Egypt.
She obtained the prize of the National Research Center for Technological Innovation for the year 2005 (2006), prize of Environmental Research and Environmental Education from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (2007), Certificates of Excellence in Scientific Productions (year 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013), and Certificate of Excellence for Google scholar citation h index the year 2014. She was also evaluated for her Scopus and ISI publications in the year 2015.
Clinic for Smoking Cessation was initiated under her supervision through the collaboration between NRC and WHO (2012), and Clinic of Environmental toxicology was also initiated under her supervision in 2013.
She was the principle investigator for 3 projects and member in more than 17 national and international projects (since 1997).
She has 52 International Publications and 20 National Publications in the field of Climate Change health vulnerability and adaptation, Environmental Toxicology, Environmental Health Impact Assessment and Molecular Epidemiology, Prediction of health problems related to environmental pollutions with evaluation of the preventive and therapeutic management of these problems, and design strategies for prevention and control, including Environmental Health Education and Public Awareness.
